Reproof and counsel proceed from [their] possessing love and compassion, for they desire to restrain their child from evil and to make [him] good. We have an obligation, after [our] parents, to be obedient with love and willingness to the king, and to the authorities appointed by him; because God has given that authority so that they may govern society.
