... masters over their servants and attendants; some with dignity, as husbands over their wives; some with prudence, as experienced elders [and] ingenious counselors over inexperienced youths. Therefore, it is necessary that a child obey [their] parents with heart and mind; the congregation, their spiritual pastor; the subject, their king and magistrate; the pupil, his teacher and master; the commonality, their prince; the servant and attendant, his master; the wife, her husband; [and] the inexperienced, the experienced counselor; [for] by this obedience they shall derive much profit and benefit, and shall be as happy as can be. 4. He that is obedient shall possess every manner of goodness, whereby he shall be dear to his superior and suffer no contempt; for he doth not that which seemeth good to his own understanding [or] desired by his own heart, but whatsoever his superior commandeth, that he performeth with an innocent heart, even as Christ our Lord commanded: "Be ye simple as doves."
