Behold, herein shall their mind-deceiving slander become manifest unto all studious readers, in that, by drawing over their faces the celebrable name of our holy Father Grigor Lusaworichʻ as a mask, they strive to cloak and conceal the error-visaged aspect of their inner counsels; and according to the word of the Apostle concerning those strayed from the truth (Tit. 1:16), “they profess [only] in word to know the truth, but by the works of vice and error they deny it; being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.” But it is the Lord’s own undeniable decree: “For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not [be known].”

... [was manifested]; and we have seen, and bear witness, and proclaim unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us" (I Cath. Ep. of [Hovh.] i. 1, 2). "Let this mind be in each of you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and being found in fashion as a man; He humbled Himself, becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross" (Philip. ii. 5–8). "For we have not followed cunningly devised fables when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty" (II Peter i. 16). Behold the orthodox confession of the truth of the faith of the unerring, true-born sons of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Church of the Armenians, which hath been revealed here and confirmed by the testimonies of the ancient, God-inspired Holy Fathers. Let the calumniators, therefore, be put to shame and persuaded, and let them not, persisting with a stubborn mind, remain impenitent. But let us hasten to disperse also the other vain notions of their raving minds.
