[...-ty,] one authority, one greatness, one knowledge, one counsel, one dominion, one unoriginate power; three perfect persons, one perfect will, an ineffable, unsearchable unity of the Trinity; one reality, one essence, one Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; three persons, one power of the Godhead. The Father [is] of Himself, the Son from the Father, and the Spirit from Them and in Them; in reality, in essence, in Godhead evenly equal, common in depths, in heights, in breadths, in lengths; one essence of nature, one crown of the Trinity; and heaven and earth are full of His glory” (Agat‘angełos).
In like manner, an exact and orthodox confession toward the All-Holy Trinity doth our angel-like Doctor, Saint Grigor Narekats‘i, write in such words:
“We confess and acknowledge, we worship and adore the co-glorious unity of the All-Holy Trinity: an ineffable Godhead, ever good, of the same essence, equal in honor, unattainable to the flight of the wings of the intellect, higher than [any] pattern and beyond [any] likeness... Father of mercies, Holder of all, and God of all that is in heaven and on earth, save only the Word, through Whom He holdeth all things; Creator and Giver of breath unto all, save the consubstantial Spirit, through Whom He fashioned the whole.
One from the blissfully-glorious, equally-potent awesomeness of the three Persons, having descended from on high, from thence unto the lower regions—Who [yet] were inherently inseparable from the earthly realm—remaining unstripped of the throne of glory, and in no need of the face of His Begetter; having entered into the chamber of the Virgin’s womb simply, and come forth thence articulately, a body essentially indistinct, in faultless humanity and undiminished Godhead; the one Son of the Father alone, and the only-begotten firstborn of the God-bearing Virgin Mother of God, the Creator becoming truly first-born man in the created sphere...
We ever praise and bless, together with the Son and with the Father, the Spirit of Their essence also, the almighty, true, perfect, and holy; Who brought forth from non-being all created things; self-acting, co-ruling also with the two over the incorruptible and boundless kingdom; whatsoever the first Cause [is], and the awful Word of His identical nature, the very same also is the exalted Spirit” (Narek, ch. 37).
