Number 9:

Take half a *msxal* of crushed sal ammoniac [*anushadr*], divide [it] into three portions, [and] give one portion at a time to the patient to drink with water, in the morning, at midday, and in the evening; and repeat this every day until [the patient] recovers.

NUMBER 11.

Take half a handful of mallow, or elder, or chamomile, or betony blossoms, or mint; place [them] in a clean vessel and pour five cups of boiling water over [them], [and] cover. After half an hour, strain through a cloth, sweeten with honey, and give [it to the patient] to drink frequently.

HEAD: Number 14:

Take pounded buckthorn bark, eight *mskhal*s; cinnamon, half a *mskhal*; crushed wormwood, two *mskhal*s. Put [them] into a bottle and pour over them half a *charek* of good red wine, or water. Place [it] for three days in a warm place, then strain [it]; give [it to] the patient to drink four times a day, two spoonfuls at a time, until he recovers.

Number 10:

Take crushed wormwood, clover, [and] gentian, a handful of each, or whichever of these you find; put [them] into a bottle and pour over [them] four cups of wine or water. Place [it] in a warm spot; after two days, strain [it] through a clean cloth, and give [it] to the patient, four times a day, one spoonful [at a time].

Number 13:

Take one cup of pickled [salted] apple water and two spoonfuls of honey, mix [them] together, and administer [it] in the morning on an empty stomach. It is even better to administer six *mskhal*s of castor oil [oil of *chnachanch*] with half a cup of lukewarm water.

HEAD: Number 14:

Take eight *mesghals* of pounded cinchona bark [and] one *mesghal* of crushed wormwood; place [them] into an earthen vessel, pour over [them] three cups of water, [and] boil until half remains. After straining, mix in one spoonful of honey and have the patient drink one spoonful [at a time], six times a day.

Number 15:

Take bitter almonds or the kernels of peach stones, four *mskhal*s, remove the skin, pound [them], place [them] in an earthen vessel, and pour good red wine over [them],

Take eight *miskhal*s of pounded cinchona bark [and] one *miskhal* of crushed wormwood; place [them] in an earthenware vessel, pour three cups of water over [them], [and] boil until half remains. After straining, mix in one spoonful of honey, and give the patient to drink one spoonful six times a day.
