Take one *mskhal* of crushed *khashndēgh* [wild chicory/bryony], put [it] into a cup, and pour four spoons of hot water over it. Cover [it] until it cools down. Then strain [it] and give [it] to an adult person three times a day, one spoon each [time], but to a child, during constipation, one small tea-spoon each [time].

Number 39:

Take two *mskhal*s each of pounded frankincense and the seed of ground-pine; mix [them] together and use as has been directed. You may also use the frankincense alone.

Number 40:

Take one handful of *pʻichoy* flower [ivy/ground-ivy flower?]; place [it] in a clean vessel and pour over it one *chʻarēkʻ* of water, [and] boil it so much until half of it dries up [evaporates]; then strain [it], mix honey into it so much that it becomes slightly sweet; [and] have [the patient] drink one *pʻnjan* [cup] four times a day.

Number 42:

Take one handful of wheat bran, put [it] into a tinned copper [vessel], and pour seven *finjan*s of water over it. Boil [it] until half is reduced; then strain [it], mix into it one spoonful of pounded *gortsli*, and administer [it] thus as a clyster.

Number 40:

Take one handful of wheat bran, put [it] into a tinned copper [pot], and pour seven cups of water over it. Boil [it] until half [of it] is reduced. Then strain [it] and mix into it one spoonful of crushed *gortsli* [an unverified medicinal herb/substance], and administer [it] as a clyster in that manner.

Number 40:

Take ten *mskhal*s of marshmallow root, put [it] into a tinned copper [vessel], and pour over it one *ch'arek'* of water. Boil [it] well, strain [it], then mix into it three *mskhal*s of crushed cherry (*alubalu*) gum. Strain [it] again and have the patient drink [it] in place of water.

[NUMBER] 41.

Take half a *t'unki* of freshly milked cow's milk, bring it to a boil, then throw into it one handful of crushed sorrel herb, or two spoons of strong vinegar, whereby the milk will curdle; then strain [it], sweeten with honey, and give [it] to drink in place of water.

Number 42:

Take one handful of wheat bran, put [it] into a tinned copper [vessel], and pour seven *finjan*s of water over it. Boil [it] until half is reduced; then strain [it], mix into it one spoonful of pounded *gortsli*, and administer [it] thus as a clyster.
