Number 57:

Take ten handfuls of wormwood [and] twenty handfuls of finely chopped juniper wood, mix [them] together, place [them] in a copper [vessel], and pour one pitcher of water over it; make a [hot] fire, [and] boil it well; then strain [it], and use its water externally, as is instructed.

Number 58:

Take finely ground valerian, eight *mskhal*s; divide [it] into sixteen portions, and give [it to the patient] to drink with water, one portion at a time, four times a day.

Number 60:

Take eight *mskhal*s of finely pounded male-fern root, divide [it] into twelve portions, and give one portion at a time four times a day, with water.

Number 62.

Take ten handfuls of wormwood [and] twenty handfuls of finely chopped juniper wood; mix [them] together, place [them] in a copper [vessel], and pour over them one jug of water, heated to embers, [and] boil [it] well. Then strain [it] and use its water externally, as has been directed.

Number 59:

Take finely ground valerian, eight *mskhal*s; divide [it] into sixteen portions, and give [it to the patient] to drink with water, one portion at a time, four times a day.

Number 60:

Take eight miskals of finely pounded fern root, make twelve portions [thereof], and give [it] four times a day, one portion [at a time], with water.

Number 62.

Take finely pounded *bukhtak* [stramonium/datura] seed, four *mskhal*s; wormwood, one *mskhal*; valerian, one *mskhal*; and very finely pounded agaric [*achal*], two *mskhal*s; mix [them] together, pour good honey over it, as much as is necessary to make [it into] an electuary [*majun*]. Feed [the patient] two spoonfuls [each time] in the morning on an empty stomach. If thou findest not the aforementioned drugs, knead only the *bukhtak* seed with honey and administer [it].

Number 62:

Take twenty drops of stone-oil [petroleum], mix two spoons of honey into it, and have [the patient] drink [it], as is stated for the worm disease.
