Grace came upon the cross of Karos, The simple cross they turned to silver, The pommels they turned to gold, They stood before [it], made the sign of the cross, Knelt one by one and prayed, Cried out, "Lord, have mercy," Relics from heaven were brought down into it. It flew, went into the plot of Karos, By night it cast light over the plot of Karos, By day it cast shade over the plot of Karos, They named it the cross of Karos. May I be a servant to the cross of Karos! A dream came to Ter Ohan: "Come, take me to the church; By night let me give great light to the temple, By day let me give shade to the world." He arose and told the great prince: "A cross has appeared to the Armenian nation, The name Karos written upon the cross; Let us bring [it], place [it] in our temple," By day it will give shade to our world, By night it will give light to our temple.
