May God grant good to the prince; He arose [and] summoned the people. They arose, came, [and] assembled. The head priest took the deacon, Seven priests, seven *vardapet*s; With cross [and] banner they formed a procession, They cried out, "Lord, have mercy," They came [and] stood before the Karos Cross. I shall be a servant to the Karos Cross. They knelt, wept, [and] called upon God; The Karos Cross flew into the bosom of Ter Ohan, The golden-sermoned *vardapet*; He kissed [it and] placed [it] upon his head. I shall be a servant to the Karos Cross. "Lord, have mercy," they said; They took [and] carried the Karos Cross, They carried [and] placed [it] in the holy temple. By day it gave a cool breeze over the land, By night it arched [a canopy of] light over the temple. I shall be a servant to the Karos Cross.
