of God; that by the authority which is given to you, you may loose me from the bonds of my sins, I beseech you.

DISMISSAL

MAY God the lover of mankind have mercy on thee, and grant remission of all thy transgressions, both those confessed and those forgotten. And I, by the order of priestly authority and by the divine commandment that "[whatsoever] ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven," by that same word do absolve thee from all participation in thy sins, of thoughts, of words, and of deeds: IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. And furthermore, I restore thee unto the sacraments [*xorhurdkʿ*] of the Holy Church, so that whatsoever good [deeds] thou shalt perform, they may be unto thee for well-doing and for the glory of the life to come. Amen.
