...I meditated on [the works of] your [hands]; and I lifted up my hands to you. My soul is like a thirsty land before you. Hear me speedily, O Lord, for my spirit has grown faint within me. Do not turn your face away from me, lest I become like those who descend into the pit. Make me to hear your mercy in the morning, for in you, O Lord, have I hoped. Show me the way wherein I should walk, for to you, O Lord, have I lifted up my soul. Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, for I have made you my refuge. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your good Spirit lead me into a straight land. For the sake of your name, O Lord, you shall keep me alive; in your righteousness you shall bring out my soul from distress. In your mercy, destroy my enemies, O God, and destroy all the oppressors of my soul, for I am your servant. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. Now and always, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.
