How long will you turn your face away forever? Shall your wrath burn like fire? And now, remember and see what my substance is. Did you create all the sons of men in vain? Who is the man who shall live and not see death, or save his soul from the hand of Hades? Where are your former mercies, Lord, which you swore to David by your truth? Remember the reproach of your servant, which I have borne in my bosom from many nations; [With] which your enemies have reproached, Lord, have reproached in exchange for your anointed.
