Thou didst fill the first man with the Spirit, whom he lost through the deceit of the Evil One; by Thy Word, Thou didst pour out that same Spirit into our souls anew. By that same Holy and good Spirit, lead the soul of this [servant] into the mansions [of Thy Father]. Thou didst call unto Lazarus, whereby Thou gavest hope unto the dead; through the four-day-dead one’s being made alive, those [descended] from Adam were quickened. By the life-giving sound of the final trumpet, call this [servant] forth from this dust into the mansions of Thy Father. The guardian of death was shaken [and] trembled at the fullness of Thy life-giving voice; swiftly, simultaneously with the word, he gave up the dead man according to the command. May the princes of this air tremble, [and] let them not hinder his soul into the mansions [of Thy Father].
