[...in] multitude, and as the sand on the seashore. And now, Lord, we have been diminished more than all nations, and are afflicted in all the earth this day because of our sins. There is not at this time prince, prophet, or leader; neither whole burnt offerings of sacrifices, nor incense of the Law, nor a place to offer sacrifices before thee and to find mercy from thee. But with a humble soul and with a spirit of afflictions may we be acceptable, as in the whole burnt offerings of rams and bullocks, and as in ten thousands of fat lambs. So let our sacrifices be acceptable before thee this day, that we may follow fully after thee; and there is no shame for those who put their trust in thee. And now we follow after thee with all our hearts, we fear thee, and we seek thy face; Lord, put us not to shame. But deal with us according to thy meekness and according to the multitude of thy mercy; deliver us for the sake of thy wonders, Lord, and let thy name be glorified forever. Let all who torment thy servants be put to shame, let their tyrannies be confounded, and let all their might be shattered.
