To serve him in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life. And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High, for you shall go before the Lord to prepare his ways; To give knowledge of salvation to his people, for the remission of all our sins, Through the tender mercy of the Lord our God, whereby the sun from on high has appeared unto us, to enlighten our darkness; To cause light to shine upon those of us who were sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct our feet into the ways of peace.

Now dismiss your servant, O Lord, according to your word, in peace; for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you have prepared before all peoples: a light revealed to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel. Glory to the Father and to the Son [and to the Holy Spirit, both] now and always and [unto the ages of ages. Amen.]
