Gladdened with great joy by the good tidings of the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who became the first-fruits and the firstborn of all who have fallen asleep, shattered the gates of hell, destroyed the tyranny of death, and gave the firm hope of the renewed restoration of life unto all mankind: Let us ask in faith from our Savior, Jesus Christ, that He may make us worthy of His resurrection, to conform the body of our lowliness to the likeness of the body of His glory; for this He promised—to bestow this great and ineffable grace upon His beloved—the true God, Jesus Christ our Lord. Save [us] and have mercy.
