[They] became guides for us with upright steps into the paths of the kingdom of heaven; with the most radiant torch of their faith and love, they made the light of the knowledge of God dawn in our hearts; we beseech [You]. Lord, our Lord, hear and have mercy. Through the guarding of our thoughts, words, and deeds, in holiness to glorify the all-holy Trinity, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, unto the ages. Amen. We beseech [You]. By the supplications of the holy Martyrs, O Lord, who contended for Your holy name, look upon the worship of those gathered here, and grant forgiveness of sins, and grant [us] a portion and share with all the saints; we beseech [You]. By the supplications of the holy witnesses martyred by blood, O Lord, who purified themselves [as] a temple for Your Holy Spirit: grant to our land temperate air and delightful vegetation, to be the fulfillment of all our necessary needs; we beseech [You].
