Thrice-holy, single Lordship, Godhead of one nature: the uncreated, creative Light commanded unique light to exist, which He also caused to shine forth on the first day, the Sunday [of the week]. Whereby [the ineffable Trinity] is ever [glorified]. Let us expound in the manner of teachers; let us make known the hidden mystery: for the invisible, intelligible Light, visible to pure spirits, shone forth for us on this same first day of the week as the holy ray of the Resurrection. Come, [all ye] redeemed, together with the *zowartʿunkʿ* [heavenly watchers / angels], give blessing unto the Risen One! O Love, out of love Thou didst humble Thyself; for our salvation Thou didst become incarnate; in that same flesh Thou wast crucified and laid in the tomb of death.
