From him is salvation, and he redeemed Israel from all its afflictions. Cause me to hear your mercy in the morning, for in you, Lord, have I hoped. Show me the way wherein I should walk, for unto you, Lord, have I lifted up my soul. Deliver me from my enemies, Lord, for I have made you my refuge. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your good Spirit lead me into an upright land. For the sake of your name, Lord, you will preserve my life; by your righteousness you will bring my soul out of affliction. By your mercy cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul, for I am your servant. God, by your name save me, and by your power judge me [justly]. God, hear my prayers; give ear to the words of my mouth. Strangers have risen up against me, and the mighty have sought after my soul; and they have not set you, God, before them. Behold, God is my helper, and the Lord is the upholder of my soul.
