[He is the] Being of all that exist; whence also to us a firm hope He gave by the rest of the Sabbath: that if we work here the works of God, there we shall rest with God. Masterfully we are taught; by the example of the Lord we are instructed: who in the second creation, after the fulfillment of the Economy, on the seventh day of rest, having descended in the body into the tomb, led up the bound spirits [and] prepared the unending rest. May the dew that bedewed from Your side heal the departed; may it descend into their dust of death and cause [them] to sprout on the last day. By Your life-giving voice, call them into Your life, and rank [them] with the righteous to sing glory to You with the heavenly hosts (*zowart‘nowts‘* [watchers/angels]). Having consumed our living nature, transgression turned [it] back into the dust of death; but the death of You, the Immortal One, granted immortality once again. Those who are buried with You by death through the baptism of the font, raise up with You in Your glory, with light like unto the sun.
