For if I remembered you upon my bed, early in the morning I would speak with you. For you became my helper; in the shadow of your wings I will rejoice. My soul followed hard after you, and your right hand upheld me; and they sought my soul in vain. They shall enter into the depths of the earth; they shall be delivered into the hands of the sword, and shall be portions for foxes. The king hoped in the Lord; all who swear by him shall be praised; the mouths of those who spoke iniquity shall be stopped. Hear my prayer, O God, as I plead before you; deliver my soul from the fear of the enemy. You shall hide me from the assembly of the wicked, from the multitude of those who work iniquity. Who have sharpened their tongues like a sword; they have bent their bows for bitter matters, To shoot in secret at those who are upright in heart; suddenly they shall shoot at them, and not fear. Who have strengthened within themselves words of wickedness; they have plotted to hide a snare for me, and said, "The Lord does not see this."
