A LITANY FOR GREAT LENT, COMPOSED BY JOHN MANDAKUNI:

Let us all together give thanks unto God the Lover of mankind and unto our Savior, Jesus Christ; Who freed the race of mankind from the condemnation of the curse, and took away the sins of the world at this hour by His cross, and abundantly granted the gifts of the Holy Spirit unto the blessed Apostles. Let us ask in faith that He make us all partakers of those great and divine blessings, through the prayers and intercessions of all the saints, who [are] here and throughout the entire universe; so that, having conducted ourselves in this world with spotless life and true virtue according to His will, we may receive a portion and lot of the inheritance alongside all His saints—the habitation of the eternal and heavenly tabernacles; which the true God, Jesus Christ, promised unto His beloved ones. Our Lord, save [us] and have mercy. Let us ask in faith from the Lord to pass this hour and the forthcoming day in peace. The Angel of Peace.
