He turned my soul back to me, and led me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk in the midst of the shadows of death, I shall fear no evil, for you, Lord, are with me. Your rod and your staff, they shall comfort me. You prepared a table before me, face-to-face with my oppressors. You anointed my head with oil; your cup, like unmixed [wine], inebriated me. Your mercy, Lord, shall follow after me all the days of my life, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord for length of days. Show me the way wherein I should walk, for unto you, Lord, have I lifted up my soul. Deliver me from my enemies, Lord, for I have made you my refuge. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your good Spirit lead me into a level land. For your name’s sake, Lord, you shall keep me alive; in your righteousness you shall bring my soul out of distress. In your mercy destroy [my] enemies
