PSALM

114 (116). I loved, because the Lord will hear the voice of [my] prayer.

...mine; for He inclined His ear unto me, and

I called upon him in my days.

The pangs of death surrounded me, and the sorrows [of hell]...

[The pangs of] hell found me.

I found distress and anguish, and

I called upon the name of the Lord.

O Lord, deliver my soul; merciful [is] God—

[... God] our [God], have mercy and protect the children, O Lord.

I was brought low, and the Lord saved me. Return,

[Return,] my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has helped you.

He delivered my soul from death, mine eyes

[my eyes] from tears, and my feet from stumb-

...[from]... I shall be pleasing before the Lord in the land [of the living].

[of the] living.

I believed, wherefore also I spoke; and I [was] hu-

[...I was brought] exceedingly low.

I said in my astonishment: That eve[ry]—

[Every] man is a liar.

O what return shall I give unto the Lord for all—

[... of all] that which he also gave to me.

I will take the cup of salvation, and the na-

[I will call upon the na]me of the Lord.

[I will render] my prayers to the Lord before all...

[... of all] His people.
