He asked life of you, and you gave him length of days forever and ever. Great is his glory in your salvation; you shall place the glory of your majesty upon him. You shall grant him [to be] a blessing forever and ever, and you shall make him glad with the joy of your countenance. The king hoped in the Lord; through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be shaken. May your hand be found upon your enemies, and may your right hand find all those who hate you. You shall place them as a furnace into fire at the time of your presence; the Lord in his wrath shall trouble them, and fire shall devour them. Their fruit shall perish from the earth, and their offspring from among the children of men. They turned aside from you in wickedness; they devised a counsel which they shall not be able to establish. You shall make them put to flight among your remnants, and you shall make ready their faces. Be exalted, O Lord, in your power; we will praise and sing psalms to your might.
