Lift up your gates, O princes; let the eternal gates be lifted up, and the King of glory shall enter in.

The earth is the Lord’s in its fullness, the world and all its inhabitants. He Himself laid its foundations upon the seas; [and] prepared it upon the rivers. Who shall ascend to the mountain of the Lord, or who shall stand in His holy place? [He] who is clean of hands and pure of heart; who has not taken vanity unto his soul, and has not sworn deceitfully to his neighbor. He shall receive help from the Lord, [and] mercy from God his Savior. This is the generation of those who seek the Lord, who seek to see the face of the God of Jacob. Lift up your gates, O princes; let the eternal gates be lifted up, and the King of Glory shall enter. Who is this King of Glory? The Lord, mighty in His strength; the Lord, mighty in battle.
