Blessed [art Thou], O Lord, Who dwellest on high, and blessed is the glory of Thy majesty; Who didst establish the luminaries in the heights, [and] from the heavens didst cause light to shine forth throughout the entire universe. Thou didst create the sun to give light by day, the moon and the stars to give light by night, and the light of the lamp. Thou art the praiseworthy Light, holy and primal Light; from Thee darkness fleeth. And shine forth Thy living light, O Lord, into our hearts. And let us say in unison: Blessed is the holy name of Thy glory; and to Thee we sing blessing and glory, to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and always, and unto [ages of ages. Amen].
