[You] who by foreknowledge chose the souls of those made worthy, imprinting upon them the Spirit of Your graces, by which they drove away [and] repelled the rebellious enemy; [through their intercession, have mercy on us]. [They] who stripped off the darkness of ignorance from all nations, clothing the Gentiles, by the apostolic calling, in the hope of eternal life; [through their intercession, have mercy on us]. Wherefore, we also, the faithful, shall celebrate the commemoration of the holy apostles; we beseech You, who alone are merciful: bestow generously upon us Your great mercy, O Lord, who give life to all creatures. Glory [to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit]. Now, O Mother of God, beseech Him who was born of you for our sake, that being preserved with Him, we may be renewed by His holy resurrection; intercede always with Him to save us. Both now [and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen]. Today the apostles rejoiced, adorned by the graces of the Holy Spirit, magnifying the One who proceeds from the Father.
