Ուրախ եղէ ես՝ ոյք ասէին ցիս , ՚ի տուն Տեառն երթիցուք մեք : Հասեալ կային ոտք մեր առ դրունս քո Երուսաղէմ: ԶԵրուսաղէմ շինեալ որպէս քաղաք • և բնակութիւն իւր շուրջ զնովաւ : Անդ ելանէին ազգք՝ ազգք Տեառն . ՚ի վկայութիւն Իսրայէլի , խոստովան լինիլ անուան Տեառն : Անդ արկեալ են աթոռք դատաստանի. աթոռս արկեալ են ՚ի տան Դաւթի : Հարցէք զողջունէ Երուսաղէմի , և զշի- նութենէ՝ ոյք սիրէք զՏէր : Եղիցի խաղաղութիւն ՚ի զօրութեան քում, և շինութիւն յաշտարակս յամուրս քո : Վ ասն եղբարց և ընկերաց իմոց խօսեցայ զխաղաղութիւն . վասն քոյ և վասն տան Տեա- ռըն Աստուծոյ մերոյ խնդրեցաք զբարութիւն ՚ի քէն :

I was glad [when] they said to me: “Let us go into the house of the Lord.”
Our feet were standing at your gates, O Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is built as a city, and its habitation surrounds it.
There the tribes went up, the tribes of the Lord, for a testimony to Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.
There thrones of judgment are set; thrones are set in the house of David.
Ask for the peace of Jerusalem, and for [the] prosperity [of those] who love the Lord.
May peace be in your strength, and prosperity in your strong towers.
For the sake of my brethren and my companions I spoke peace; for your sake and for the sake of the house of the Lord our God we sought good things from you.
