...my supplication; give ear to my prayer, for [it is] not with deceitful lips. Let my judgment come forth from your presence, and let my eyes behold equity. You have proved my heart and examined [me] in the night; you tested me, and no iniquity was found in me. Let not my mouth speak of the deeds of the sons of men; for the sake of the words of your lips, I have kept the difficult paths. Establish my tracks in your path, that my steps may not stumble. I have cried to you, Lord, for you heard me, O God; incline your ear to me and hear my words. Make marvelous your mercies, O you who save those who trust in you from those who resist your right hand. Keep me as the apple of the eye; under the shadow of your wings you shall cover me, from the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. The enemies have besieged my soul, and they have enclosed [themselves] in their own fat, and their mouths have spoken arrogance. They cast me out, and now again they have surrounded me; they set their mind to cast me down to the earth.
