RUBRIC: Supplication [Małtʿankʿ]

As the evening draws near, we lift up our hands toward the sanctuary [for] whatever we have sinned this day in thought, word, or deed; repenting upon our beds, confessing the secrets of our hearts to You, God Who knowest the hidden things, [and] hoping in Your mercy. And let us cry out with one accord: Remember us, Lord, when You come with Your kingdom, and have mercy on us.

Again, in peace let us beseech the Lord. Give thanks unto the Lord, who by His mercy hath guided us in the works of the daytime, and hath granted us to come and attain together unto the rest of this night. And let us at all times beseech God the lover of mankind to be the guardian of our souls, that He by His mercy may preserve us, and having guided [us], may bring [us] unto the rest of His goodness, which the true God, Jesus Christ, promised to His beloved. May the Almighty Lord save and have mercy. [Let us ask for] the rest of this night... [Let us ask for] the Angel [of peace]... [Let us ask for] the remission [and forgiveness of our sins]...
