O Existent One of unshadowed light, with supplications we stand before [Thee]; Who through closed doors in the evening didst appear to the Eleven: with Thomas we cry unto Thee, confessing Thee [as] Lord and God; descend also unto us on this evening and give Thy peace into [our] souls. Wearied, we beseech Thee, O Lord; we pray: look [down] unto our help; O Guardian of Israel, be a shelter unto our souls; abide with us peaceably, that we may sleep undisturbed; so that at dawn we may hasten to bless Thee with the Father in the Spirit. At the sounding of the trumpet of Gabriel on the last night, make us worthy to hear [it] and to be numbered in the rank on the right side; [our] light of lamps burning unquenched, according to the five wise virgins; so that with Thee, the Bridegroom, [we as] brides in spirit may enter into the bridal chamber in glory.
