I am your servant; give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies. It is time to serve the Lord; they have broken your law. Therefore I have loved your commandments more than all gold and topaz. All your commandments have guided me rightly, for I have hated the ways of evil. Wonderful are your testimonies; therefore has my soul loved them. The unfolding of your words gives light, and gives understanding to the simple. I opened my mouth and drew in the Spirit, for my soul longed for your commandments. Look upon me and have mercy on me, according to the right of those who love your name. Direct my steps according to your word, and let no sin have dominion over me. Deliver me from the slander of men, and I will keep your commandments. Make your face to shine upon your servant, and teach me your righteousness. Streams of water have flowed down from my eyes, because they have not kept your law. Righteous are you, O Lord, and upright are your judgments.
