We entreat you in spirit at this arrived hour of rest, benevolent Spirit of God: when you renew the face of the earth and fashion anew the souls of human beings, adorn in fresh splendor our fallen asleep [who were] born of you through the holy font, through the intercessions of the Holy Mother of God and of all the righteous. The living image of your immaculate mother we place before your ungrudging Lordship: when you come in the glory of the Father to judge the enemies of your cross, pardon our transgressions through the intercession of your Mother and Virgin; we beseech you, Lord, preserve us under the shadow of your holy cross. Make us also, Lord, partakers with your holy apostles, who were made worthy to behold you in your resurrection; make [us] worthy, Lord, to behold you at your second coming: blessing to the Sender in the highest.
