Seek your servant, for I did not forget your commandments. Glory to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Now and always and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

[RUBRIC:] And after [this] is said the *šarakan* (hymn) in the Third Tone:

[Voice/Tone] 3 (GD [Gaj]): We beseech You, Father of mercies and God of consolations: at this approaching hour of the mournful night, console us from the sorrows of sins, and grant [us] joy through deeds of righteousness, through the intercession of the Holy *Astowacacin* (Mother of God [lit. God-bearer]) and of all the righteous. According to the sweetest calling of Your divine command, Son of God, we have come before You this evening, weary and heavy-laden. Lighten our souls from the burdens of sins, and strengthen [us] willingly to take up the sweet yoke of Your commandments, through the intercession of the Holy *Astowacacin* and of all the righteous.
