We supplicate Thee in spirit at this present hour of rest, O Spirit of God, lover of mankind: when Thou renewest the face of the earth and dost fashion anew the souls of men, adorn in new splendor our departed who were born of Thee through the holy font, through the intercessions of the Holy Mother of God and of all the saints. The living image of Thine immaculate Mother we place before Thy all-forbearing Lordship: when Thou comest in the glory of the Father to judge the enemies of Thy Cross, pardon our transgressions through the intercession of Thy Mother and Virgin; we beseech Thee, O Lord, protect us beneath the shelter of Thy holy Cross. Make us also partakers, O Lord, with Thy holy apostles, who were deemed worthy to behold Thee in Thy Resurrection; deem [us] worthy, O Lord, to behold Thee at Thy Second Coming; blessing to the Sender in the highest.
