Even so are our eyes unto thee, O Lord our God, until thou have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us; for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our souls are yet more filled with the reproach of those who reproached us, and with the contempt of the proud. O God, save me by thy name, and judge me in thy strength. O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth. For strangers have risen up against me, and the mighty have sought after my soul; and they have not set thee, O God, before them. Behold, God is my helper, and the Lord is the upholder of my soul. In turning back the evil upon my enemies, destroy them in thy truth. I will freely offer sacrifices unto thee; I will give thanks unto thy name, O Lord, for it is good. For thou hast delivered me out of all my distress, and mine eye hath looked upon mine enemies. Blessed art thou, O Lord God of our fathers, praised and exalted above all forever.
