[A] light revealed unto the Gentiles, and [the] glory of thy people Israel. Thou didst stretch forth thy hand, and thy right hand saved me; and the Lord shall recompense on my behalf. Lord, thy mercy is forever; do not disregard the works of thy hands. Lord, bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks unto thy name. And the righteous wait for thee, until thou shalt recompense [me]. My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior. For he hath looked upon the lowliness of his handmaiden; henceforth all generations shall call me blessed. For the Mighty One hath done great things for me, and holy is his name. And his mercy is upon generations of generations of them that fear him; he hath wrought might with his arm. He hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts, and put down the mighty from [their] thrones. He hath exalted the humble; he hath filled the needy with good things, and the rich he hath sent away empty. He hath helped Israel his servant, in remembrance of his mercy.
