As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and to his seed forever. My soul is in your hands at all times, and in your holy Cross have I placed my hope, heavenly King; we have the multitude of your saints as intercessors before you. Let us beseech the Almighty God and ask of Him that He send an angel of peace, who, having come, may preserve us in this fearsome night from demonic turmoil, keeping our soul and our body whole until the completion of the time of our years: Almighty Lord God [our, save and have mercy].
