In peace, together in this very [state], we shall sleep and awake; for You alone, Lord, have established us in Your hope. When I called upon [You], You heard me, O God of my righteousness; in distress You granted me relief; have mercy upon me and hear my prayer. Sons of men, how long will you be hard-hearted? Why do you love vanity and seek after falsehood? Know that the Lord has wrought wonders for His holy one; and the Lord will hear me when I call upon Him. Be angry, and do not sin; what you say in your hearts, repent of upon your beds. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and hope in the Lord. Many said: “Who will show us the goodness of the Lord?” The light of Your countenance was marked upon us, and You gave gladness to our hearts.
