May You keep free from harm the breath You bestowed upon this body; station around [me] as an enclosure the host of the heavenly powers; array [them] face-to-face against the legion of demons. Grant the rest of delight to [this] death-like slumber in the depths of this night, through the intercessory petitions of Your holy Mother of God and of all the elect. Enclose and veil the window of the visions of the senses of my mind with an undaunted security against tempestuous agitations, worldly distractions, phantom dreams, [and] delirious phantasms, [keeping me] invulnerably protected by the remembrance of hope in You. And roused again from the heaviness of sleep, with all-sober wakefulness [and] spirit-renewed joy standing steadfast in You, to send up unto the heavens this voice of supplication with the fragrance of faith unto You, the all-blessed King of ineffable glory, joining in song with the heaven-assembled choirs of glorifiers. For You are glorified by all creatures unto the ages of ages. Amen.
