Receive, O philanthropic God, the prayers and supplications of the Rest [Hour of Rest/Compline], unto the pleasure of your benevolent will; and grant remission for our sins and many transgressions; and to you be glory forever. Amen. Glory to you, Lord our God, who granted [us] to pass this day in goodness and in peace. Philanthropic God, [as for] the upcoming night that is about to come upon us, save [us] from sins, deliver [us] from evil, and guide [us] unto good works. Make all who believe in your holy name worthy of the morning blessings and glorifications, and preserve [them] in peace. Lord our God, grant your peace to the whole world; remove wrath and punishment from your creatures. Have mercy on our fathers and brothers, the living and the departed.
