* See the complete commentary on these Apostolic Successions in the book entitled *Religious Knowledge*, the work of the profound author, the supreme *vardapet* (doctor of theology) Lord Mik‘ayēl Hakob Sallant‘eants‘, on pages 96–99; printed in Moscow, in the year 1831. This same renowned writer is a native of Constantinople, a monk and nuncio of Holy Ēǰmiatsin, vicar of the diocesan Archbishop, a cross-bearing Knight of the Russian Empire, Censor of Books, Organizer of the Ełiazareants‘ Armenian College, and Teacher of Armenian Grammar, Philosophy, and Theology. He composed many books, chief among which are *Grammar*, *Religious Knowledge*, and *The Anchor of Faith*; but we regret that the last [of these] has not yet reached our hands here in India.
